Josie Edie May is a storyteller who weaves words into beautiful, introspective songs. Her songwriting is fuelled by emotions, metaphors, and wordplay. Born and raised in Suffolk and now currently living in Essex, Josie has always been inspired by the countryside she grew up in. Josie writes of her own experiences, others, and also writes from the perspective of fictional characters.
Josie is influenced by pop, folk, and country and is inspired by artists such as Maggie Rogers, Nina Nesbitt, and Jenson McRae. Josie creates connections with her audiences, leaving people hanging on to every word.
Josie is currently working on her Debut Album, of which she has released the first single, ‘Tale Of January’. ‘Tale Of January’ is a diary entry that encapsulates the highs and lows of January.
The album is 12 tracks and highlights every month of the year, the album is set to be released early 2027.
